Welcome to Beader's Showcase, one of the premier websites for artists working with beads, polymer clay, PMC, lampwork and much, much more. We have artists with skills including stringing, embroidery, weaving, clay work, lampwork, silversmithing and loom work. But it doesn't stop there. You will be amazed at what our artists can do with some of the most basic materials. Given a few glass beads, some wire, a little material, a feather, a couple of silver or even pewter findings, they will create a masterpiece. Please enjoy, and if you are an artist come join us. "A Place for all Beaders to Showcase their Creations."
Expiring eBay Listings These expiring eBay listings are displayed for your convenience. But we also have a full page for eBay Australia, eBay United Kingdom and eBay United States. These will help you bid just in time. |
As a artist and member of Beader's Showcase you enjoy the privilege of having your completed artistic work showcased in our slideshow on the home page.
In addition, we also feature on the home page the profile photo, if it is a personal photo of the artist, of the most recent artist to have their work showcased.
If you want to be seen, being showcased is a BIG thing.
This is a privilege we take seriously, as should you.
Our showcase is all about you as an artist sharing your art with others.
We review every photo submitted to see if it can be showcased. If we particularly like a piece but it needs a little correcting to be suitable we will contact you.
But you can get into the showcase by simply -
A name for your piece should generate an emotional connection with the viewer.
Include the title of the piece only. There is no need to include a word like 'Necklace' in a title if it is obvious the piece is a necklace.
Your description should be informative and interesting, but must come from your heart as an artist.
Here are a few questions that should cover most of what readers are interested in. Follow these are you will be good.
Please tell us what inspired the piece and how it influenced the final design?
This question is the most important. Readers really do want to know about you and what makes you tick as an artist.
Of the three questions this one is the most important and we are looking for a lengthy answer, rather than a brief one. We don't mean a short book, just enough to engage the reader.
Give this some thought.
What materials did you use in the piece?
You could simply list the materials, but explaining a little about your reasons for selecting these materials would be appreciated.
For our aspiring artists, can you explain the techniques used?
If the techniques are very basic then cover them briefly, but add more information about any technique that offered challenges.
The key to remember is it needs to come from your heart as an artist.
