Clever use of materials!!! Very nice work!!
Very clever idea!! I was going to buy some plastic ones, but this is much prettier. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the directions, it sounds really easy. I hope you sell lots of them.
Couldn't really use it as a display, because the earrings hang separately, but I thought of making a few and selling them beside the jewelry.
Not hard to make at all. The 1/4" tubing comes coiled in different lengths. (I think this was maybe 3 feet and cost about $5) The wire is a small spool of 18g copper wire (also from the hardware store) which is a little harder than the same gauge for jewelry making. After pulling up the center of the coil, I bent the end of the wire and put the end of the wire in the end of the coil and then crimped it with a pair of hog jaw pliers (better leverage). About 1/4" from the end I started wrapping the wire around the tube 4 times (make sure wraps are close together). Then I used a Bic pen to put against the tubing to get a consistent space for the earrings to hang from. Wrap 4 times, loop around pen, wrap, loop...until I got low enough that I thought the earrings might start to touch bottom. then I loosely wrapped till I ran out of wire. Back to the top. I used one of the large hole glass beads that you use for making bracelets. Put a dab of e-6000 glue on the crimped tube end, and slipped on the bead. Voila!
Since I got the idea from something I saw on Pinterest, and just made it my own, it would be kind of hypocritical to begrudge anyone the right to copy it. But even if I had thought of it myself, I still wouldn't care. LOL Have fun.
Fantastic idea n work, beautiful display!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Fantastic idea !I love it
This is a very nice display, or place to store earrings. I would have to have about 10 of these I think for all of mine. great idea. I may have to copy this idea if you have no objections. If you do, then I'll be a good beader and not do so.
