"Where beading artists meet to show and tell."
Subline, Showpiece, Opulent are just a sampling of words fellow artist have shared when descibing this piece. The varied textures, excellent quality of materials and my original design will attract many admirers.
Shibori not only is throughout the piece, but two petal-shaped composed with shibori fan out in the upper section of both sides, symbolizing the fanning out of a peacock's tail and thee raku focals are the eyes of the feather.
The main section measures 7" wide and 3.5" long
Peacock feathe: 2.5" wide, 3.5 " long.
Neck size: will fit nearly any neck size and length is adjustable b/c the closure is adjustable. Four loops are available on both straps. A double-clasp consisting of biwi peals secuely slide into the loops on both sides.
Antique bronze Italian leather covers the back of both sections.

Stunning!
Thanks Motidana and Nancy. I really enjoy using the shibori silk in my bead embroidery.
This is a fantastic necklace Sharayah . I love the way you have created the beautiful texture in silk . And the beadwork combined with it really looks outstanding !

Thank you all for taking the time to view and comment. Ann, I'm very pleased with the outcome.:) Earlier this week I looked at all my photos on Beader's Showcase. In the past 5 years, I went from stringing and weaving to now doing bead embroidery. What a great journey!! My skills have increased and i continue to challenge myself with new techniques.
I recognized your work Sharayah!! I love this piece. Someday I'm going to have to try something with the Shibori silk.
